Rossi: Ecat Jury Trial Begins on June 26

The legal battle over the Ecat between Andrea Rossi and Tom Darden’s Industrial Heat is scheduled to reach a federal jury on June 26, 2017. Rossi himself made that announcement at his blog on June 11.

In response to a correspondent named Tom Conover, Rossi wrote:

“On 6-26-17 will start the trial with the Jury and it will last until end of July…during this period I will be totally focused on the trial.”

Some LENR and Clean Energy Updates

There is a little happening in the world of low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) and energy that we should be aware of. Some of the news stories of note include:

  • Ecat creator Andrea Rossi admitted he had surgery in April but did not say for what. When a reader named Miriam asked the inventor about three surgeries he received in April. Rossi replied: “Thank you for your concern. I am perfectly healed: I won this fight. Warm Regards,” on his blog.

  • Rossi does not consider his latest ecat model the QuarkX a “real thing.”

Former Google Vice President Launches Fusion Startup

The former vice president at the X research laboratory at Alphabet; the company also known as Google, is trying to fight global warming with fusion research. Mike Cassidy has launched a startup called Apollo Fusion.

“We’re working on revolutionary hybrid reactor technology with fusion power to serve safe, clean, and affordable electricity to everyone,” the company’s website states.

Interestingly enough the website does not say whether Apollo is in the cold fusion or hot fusion business. Instead it delivers cryptic statements like:

Scientific American Reports on LENR, Hot Fusion Speeds Up

There is quite a bit going on in the world of fusion. Scientific American reported on low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) sort of.

The venerable journal reprinted a Chemical & Engineering News story by Stephen K. Ritter. The story is surprising honest and sober containing neither boosterism, nor mindless hostility. The headline says it all “Cold Fusion Lives: Experiments Create Energy When None Should Exist.”

Ritter reports on Brilliant Light Power’s (BLP) experiments in New Jersey. Noting that Brilliant Light’s founder Randell L. Mills has succeeded in creating energy but cannot explain how he’s doing it. Ritter also points out that Mills has been hard at work since 1991, 25 years and still has not achieved his goal.

Global warming it’s worse than We Thought; Musk goes into the Roofing Business

The effects of climate change might be worse than we thought. There is some evidence that sea levels might be rising twice as fast we thought.

Scientists don’t know how much the seas are really rising because tide gauges were installed in the wrong places, a paper in the journal Geophysical Research claims. The current estimates are that seas are rising around 1.5 to 1.8 millimeters a year, enough to flood major cities like New York and London.

MIT Announces Hot Fusion Breakthrough

Researchers at MIT’s Plasma Science and Fusion Center have built a reactor capable of generating temperatures four times hotter than the center of the sun. They were able to do that by doubling the pressure at which plasma is pumped into the reactor, and generating 300 trillion fusion reactions a second, Silicon Republic’s Colm Gorey reported.

MIT Professor Dennis G. Whyte

This breaks a world record and brings the center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) closer to its goal of building a commercial hot fusion reactor. The Center’s Director Professor Dennis Whyte thinks such reactors might up and running and feeding electricity into the grid within 15 years.

Rossi Partner Revealed, Ecat Time Line Announced

Andrea Rossi and his partners are actually advertising in the Yellow Pages for Doral, Florida. The Yellow Pages website for that city contains a listing for JM Products Inc. with a picture of Rossi and the Ecat.

It also lists the address of the location where ecat is being built and tested in Doral, which is a Miami suburb. The listing also contains a reference to Andrea-Rossi.com. JM Products Inc. is a for profit-corporation with a principal address of 7861 46TH STREET DORAL, FL 33166.

Some News from Around the World of LENR

There is quite a bit of big news going on in the world of low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) these days. Not all of which involves Andrea Rossi and his ecat.

Some big news includes: Airbus the giant European aircraft corporation has filed for a US Patent on something that sounds like LENR. Patent Application 2016/0228767 A1 is for “An environmentally friendly heat source suitable for the transportation sector.” The introduction mentions LENR and “an exothermic reaction in the form of a metal lattice supported hydrogen process.”

Who Owns the E-Cat Now?

Andrea Rossi might have other financial backers for his e-cat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology that we might be unaware of.

The existence of such a backer seems to be revealed by Rossi’s lawsuit against his former partners at Industrial Heat LLC. E-cat World’s Frank Acland pointed out that one of the key witnesses in the case is JM Chemical Products Inc.; the Florida company involved in the e-cat tests that took place in Miami earlier this year.

Test of the Hot E-cat this could be the E-cat Quark X in action.

Tesla Gigafactory in Production

Production of batteries has begun at Elon Musk’s gigantic Gigafactory in Northern Nevada. Bloomberg reported that the $5 billion factory is already churning out Powerwall home batteries.

The factory will turn nickel, cobalt, aluminum, lithium and silicon into the batteries for the half million cars; Musk claims Tesla will build by 2018, just two years from now. Currently the factory is only making battery packs for home and commercial use.
