Andrea Rossi is planning a new public test and demonstration of his e-cat cold fusion device on October 28. Rossi made the announcement on his blog on October 10. In the same post he said the test will not be public and the mainstream media will not be invited. More information about this should be available next week.
This probably means that the four month e-cat demonstration in the US that Rossi had been discussing is probably off. Instead, Rossi seems to be conducting a new round of tests in Bologna. He also seems to be planning to go into production with the e-cat himself and he seems to be seeking help form the public in manufacturing plans.
Rossi stated that licensing issues have come up that have blocked his plans to manufacture or sell e-cats in the US. He said his American partner, AmpEnergo was working on a solution for this problem but did not elaborate. Rossi did not elaborate upon the “licensing issues.”
E-cat Con Artists at Work
If Mr. Rossi didn’t have enough problems he’s dealing with a fraud. Unidentified scam artists have apparently set up a fake website that is taking orders for the e-cat. They call their fraud e-cat ordering and trading system and state that you can order as many e-cats as you want. The price is 300 euros which will presumably disappear into an overseas bank account somewhere.
Here’s Rossi’s response to this fraud:
DO NOT BUY ANY ECAT FROM ANYBODY, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT YET SELLING THE ECATS. WHEN WE WILL SELL THE ECATS WE WILL GIVE DUE INFORMATION, AND THE ORDERS WILL HAVE TO BE ADDRESSED EXCLUSIVELY TO LEONARDO CORPORATION OR TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALERS, OF WHICH WE WILL PUBLISH THE LIST.
So Rossi is preparing to sell e-cats and set up a distribution network. He also said that he has sent his lawyers after the fraudsters behind this website but has not been able to locate them yet.

This is my main fear: that the US government will block LENR Ni-H because fossil fuel lobbyists have paid off the politicians and bureaucrats. Those Occupy Wall Street protesters would be better off yelling about the US licensing LENR Ni-H because it is our best hope to get us out of the economic mess that Wall Street put us into.
At this moment, the only, but strong answer will be simple: publish the complete recipe ( he has published the pot and the vegetables. If he publish the spices than nobody could stop the e-cat effect.
The government will do what the voters demand. If Wall Street thinks they’ll make a lot of money off of E-cat Obama and Congress will be rushing to get it to market. Fossil fuel lobbyists may or may not try that. My guess is they don’t even see this coming. Neither does Obama. Interestingly enough some US government agencies, including NASA and the Navy want e-cat. Should be fascinating.
No, it’s not really the government that’s gonna kill it – it’s the space aliens that have taken over the minds of everyone who disagrees with us on this.
My cusn told be about that, and he’s a syentist and really know all about this.
I talked to the space aliens and they assured me they’re not controlling your mind. So chill out.
If and/or when this technology is implimented in the generation of electrical energy then, we should be glad that the U.S. has good manufacturing policies that help to ensure product safety for the public.
What is odd though is that you can take a regular smoke detector “thought safe” and pull out a strip of metal that is radioactive. I have done it to quite a few smoke detectors and used a gieger counter.
We all buy products but it’s common for people that buy the first run of a new product find out a few glitches and then the product is improved upon.
If this is really cold fusion or LENR you would think someone could detect a nuclear reaction, of any size.
I thought our manufacturing policies were safety depends on the amount of checks manufacturers write to Congressmen. Any advances in product safety in the US have come about as a result of public demand not government action. I’m more afraid of popular and media hysteria than government opposition.
