Piantelli now Working with Fleischman Project

One of cold fusion’s true pioneers Francesco Piantelli is now working with the Martin Fleischman Memorial Project in an effort called Project Fedora.

For those of you unfamiliar with him, Piantelli is the Italian scientist who worked with the late Sergio Focardi on low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) experiments in the 1990s. Those experiments formed the basis of Andrea Rossi’s e-cat LENR technology.

The Fleischman Project is hoping to replicate Piantelli’s hydrogen-nickel LENR device. An Italian company called NicHEnergy has been working to commercialize Piantelli’s cold fusion technology since 2012.

Russian Physicist Claims to Have Replicated Rossi’s Hot Ecat

A Russian physicist named Alexander G. Parkhomov had a very nasty Christmas surprise for Andrea Rossi this year. On December 25, Parkhomov published a report in which he claims to have replicated Andrea Rossi’s hot e-cat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology.

Alexander G. Parkhomov

It’s hard to judge the validity of this because the report is published in Russian. The E-cat world website site claims that Parkhomov used the data about ecat contained in the report of the Lugano e-cat test earlier this year. Parkhomov built a closed metal vessel that apparently uses a nickel hydrogen reaction similar to Rossi’s to heat water to the point of vaporization. It that’s true it means the device could operate a steam engine or turbine.

Bill Gates’ Energy Miracles

Strangely enough one of the best resources about energy issues on the web today is Bill Gates’s personal blog Gates Notes. The world’s richest man appears to one of the few deep thinkers who is doing some deep thinking about energy unlike our political leaders.

The blog itself explains Mr. Gates’ reputed interest in low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) or cold fusion and in nuclear power in general. Gates believes that development of an effective and practical nuclear energy source that is commercially viable is critical to our future and he’s right. He compares the energy situation to vaccination which frees humanity from the scourge of many deadly diseases – if we choose to use it.

Bill Gates is Interested in LENR

The world’s richest man Microsoft founder turned philanthropist Bill Gates has publicly demonstrated in his interest in low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) or cold fusion.

Gates visited the Italian Agency for New Technologies or ENEA’s laboratories in Frascati, Italy, to investigate LENR research on Nov. 17, 2014, a press release from the University of Verona’s news service indicates.

Rossi Working Behind the Scenes at US Patent Office

Andrea Rossi has been working quietly behind the scenes at the US Patent & Trademark Office in an attempt to get his e-cat low energy nuclear reaction technology (LENR) patented. An amendment Rossi has filed to his patent application on Sept. 16, 2014, indicates that Rossi may have changed his process somewhat.

Some of the new details about e-cat revealed in the application include:

Upcoming Fleischmann Project LENR Test could be as Big as Rossi’s

The Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project is planning a test of its low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology that could be as big as Andrea Rossi’s recent report about his ecat cold fusion device.

Rossi made some waves and even won over a few skeptics by publishing a report that included an analysis of some of the powder used in the Ecat. That analysis indicated that a nuclear reaction had taken place and released large amounts of energy.

Rossi has Radically Redesigned Ecat, more Test Data Leaked

Photographs and test data leaked from a recent third party test of Andrea Rossi’s ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) device indicate that the inventor has radically redesigned the technology. The same pictures and data could also make it easier for others to replicate Rossi’s results.

Pictures released with the first paper show a much smaller ecat assembly it appears to be about the width of a broom handle. It also only appears to be less than a foot long. The smaller size could indicate greater energy density, it could also be easier to replicate and utilize in commercial devices.

Energy News that LENR Fans should be Aware of

There are a number of energy news stories out there that might have a direct or in-direct bearing on low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) and its developments. Unfortunately a lot of these like LENR get ignored by the main stream media for a wide variety of reasons.

Some of the stories that LENR boosters should be taking a look at include:

Ecat can only operate on AC Current

Andrea Rossi has admitted that his ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology only works with AC or alternating current. In a recent post on his blog Rossi also admitted that the gas operated ecats are still in the developmental stage.

Rossi did not say why the e-cat would not work with direct current. Alternating current is the stand electric current delivered by the electric power grids in the United States and Europe. That means an ecat would run off of the electricity that comes into your home or business.

LENR + Desalination Possible Solution to California Mega Drought

California and the western US are in the grip of what some observers are calling a “mega drought.” Rainfall in the golden state is now at its lowest level in 100 years and things are getting worse. The people of at least small Central California community called East Porterville are now relying on bottled water distributed by authorities because their wells are running dry.

Many California Reservoirs are running dry

The situation could soon get much worse because most Californians rely upon water piped in from other parts of the state or the Colorado River in Arizona. Those sources might run dry as well. The situation could soon get worse because of climate change.
